Snow causes rail misery in South East

Southern Trains is reporting delays of up to 60 minutes on all routes. Reduced service on some routes between London and the south coast on Southern due to adverse weather conditions.

Tickets being accepted on Underground, First Capital Connect, Southeastern

Snow and ice are causing disruption, and Southern are running an amended timetable on some routes on Monday 21 January.

Because of this, the following changes will apply until further notice:

Buses are replacing trains between Brighton / Lewes and Three Bridges, trains across the Southern network may be delayed by up to 60 minutes, an amended service will also run between: London and Brighton / Eastbourne / Hastings, London and Horsham / Arundel / Chichester / Portsmouth

Trains will also not split or join at Haywards Heath or Horsham

Southeastern Trains are running a regular timetable, however the snow and ice of the last few days is causing delays and disrupted services on some routes.

Several trains this morning will be cancelled. Where possible longer trains with more carriages to reduce the chance of them failing will be run.

Please check before leaving home see if your service is still running and if you’re travelling allow additional time for your journey.
