A sheep had to be rescued by fire crews after getting stuck in a three metre deep waterlogged ditch.
The hapless animal got stuck in the ditch off Golden Jubilee Way shortly before 9pm on Thursday (July 30).
East Sussex Fire & Rescue Service’s specialist animal rescue team, based at Crowborough, led the rescue, assisted by crews from Eastbourne Fire Station.
The sheep was rescued and the crew left the scene shortly before 10.15pm.
