An Eastbourne care company has been celebrating after the company was awarded a Queen’s Award for Enterprise on her majesty’s 80th birthday.
Home Instead Senior Carehas been granted the award, the UK’s highest accolade for business success, for the innovation their service has brought to the home care sector.
Home Instead introduced their unique service to the UK in 2005 specialising in the care of older adults.
Their declared mission is to change the face of ageing and they are doing this by delivering companionship-based care which is built around the individual needs of their clients.
In bestowing the award, the organisers recognise that Home Instead’s service addresses a growing demand from an ageing population.
They also recognise that the company’s care is person-centred and includes the social wellbeing of clients who benefit from minimum one hour visits, delivered by familiar caregivers who are matched to clients based on shared interests.
Trevor Brocklebank, chief executive of Home Instead Senior Care, said he was delighted to receive the award.
He said, “On behalf of our national network we are honoured to receive this prestigious business accolade.
“Together we provide five million hours of relationship-led homecare each year.
“We couldn’t do this without our dedicated army of CAREGivers on the ground.
“This award pays testimony to their devotion to our mission to change the face of ageing in the UK.”
Home Instead is one of only 249 companies to receive an award this year.
