Search for witnesses after flasher seen in Eastbourne town centre

Police in Eastbourne are seeking witnesses to a man indecently exposing himself in the town centre.

Between about 7.45am and 8am on Wednesday (September 30) a man was seen to be indecently exposing himself outside Specsavers in Terminus Road while members of public were walking past. He was also seen approaching women.

The man is described as white, in his mid 30s, with short dark greying hair, 5’8” and of medium build. He was wearing a white long sleeved zip up Tottenham Hotspur jacket, black tracksuit bottoms and a black rucksack.

PC Cat Maddock said, “We are appealing for witnesses who saw this man, and for any of the women who were approached to come forward.

“If you can assist, please contact us via or call 101, quoting serial 195 of 30/09.”

A 34-year old Eastbourne has been arrested on suspicion of outraging public decency and has been released on conditional bail until 11 October while enquiries continue.
