PUPILS from Seaford Primary School enjoyed an interactive session at the council chambers in Broad Street and got the chance to meet the town’s mayor councillor Bob Allen.

Briana Kelly and Charlie Spencer from the school were elected mayor and deputy mayor for the visit.

Briana wore the chain of office, provided by councillor Bob Allen who asked the mini town council questions as if he were a member of the public. Seaford Primary School teacher, Helayna Goodwin, took the minutes of the meeting and Seaford Sergeant Chris Veale addressed the group and answered questions from the children.

The children debated a mock agenda and came up with some impressive ideas and suggestions about their community before learning about the work of Seaford Town Council and the councillors.
