A creche in Seaford will be marking its closure after more than 20 years in the town by hosting a celebration day on Saturday (October 5).

Mary Sims the owner of the non-profit Humpty Dumpty’s creche, declined to comment upon the closure when contacted.

The creche was located within Mercread Road youth centre and has been looking after children with the local community between the ages of one and three since 1992.

The creche will be holding an event on October 5 to celebrate the past twenty years from 10am to 5pm.

The event will include children’s activities and a showcase of past photographs including those of children they have worked with. The event will also include a tombola with all funds going to Save the Children.
