GOOD Friday will see Seaford Choral Society perform its ‘Almost Instant’ concert in the town.
St Leonard’s Church will host the event which will start at 7pm.
It features Haydn’s Nelson Mass and some Easter Music from Handel’s Messiah conducted by Sion Parry with Nick Milner-Gulland at the organ and soloists Lucinda Houghton (soprano) Rebecca Kelly (alto) Gary Marriott (tenor) and Stephen Charlesworth (baritone).
Admission to the concert will be by programme and is £3 at the door for residents and guest singers.
Proceeds will go to the Life Exhibition for Seaford Schools to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the King James Bible.
Guest singers are also welcome to attend the concert rehearsal, on Monday, April 18, which is being held at Cradle Hill School, Lexden Road in Seaford between 7.15pm and 9.15pm.
They are requested to bring their own Messiah music if possible. Haydn scores will be available to borrow.
There will be a run-through in the church on concert day at 5pm with a break for refreshment before the performance.
