PUPIL and staff at Cradle Hill School are celebrating their participation in the Sainsbury’s Active Kids 2011 campaign.

The school has been awarded a huge array of equipment to encourage a healthier, more active lifestyle thanks to being part of the scheme.

Sarah Gee, HR Manager, Sainsbury’s Newhaven, visited the children recently to celebrate the success of this year’s campaign.

Customers shopping at Sainsbury’s Newhaven between February 9 and May 31 collect ed Active Kids vouchers and donated them to a local registered organisation.

The collection process proved a huge success for Cradle Hill School, who ended up with 34,368 vouchers. This was more than any other voucher collection across organisations in Seaford.

The school used their vouchers to exchange for a range of Active Kids equipment, to benefit pupils both inside and outside the classroom.

Ms Gee said, “Cradle Hill really took the campaign to their hearts this year. It was fantastic to see the equipment they chose and we hope it will benefit the children and help them learn the importance of leading a healthier, more active lifestyle.’
