CHURCHES TOGETHER: In Seaford is inviting children 11years and under to enter it’s Bethleham Trail Competition. Knitted nativity figures can be found in shop windows now until the town’s Christmas Magic Day tomorrow, Saturday. Entry Forms available from the library or Seaford Tourist Information Centre as well at all churches. Forms should be handed in at St Leonard’s Church, Church Street tomorrow from 10am to 3.30pm. The winner will be announced at 4pm. Toy Town has kindly donated the prize.

TALK: Come and enjoy some winter wonderland. That is the invitation from the local art historian Kay Blackburn who is giving a special talk about winter scenes in art on Tuesday afternoon at 2.30pm. She will be celebrating winter in various ways from 15th century works through to the 20th century with a presentation that is in aid of Seahaven Storehouse which supplies food for 57 families in crisis situations. The talk will be at St Peter’s Church, Belgrave Road and is open to all. Admission £7, which includes tea and cakes.

CHRISTMAS MARKET: At West Dean on Saturday and Sunday, December 10 and 11, from 10am to 4pm. There will Christmas Trees, West Dean grown Norway Spruce (upto 20ft), Nordmann Fir (upto 7ft) cut or dig your own tree, some are cut and we can cut them for you. Farm produce of jams, chutneys, apple juices and holly with berries. Foodmarket in the Georgian Nag’s Barn with Christmas Art, gifts and enjoy tea, home made cakes, bacon butties and much more.
