Eastbourne Samaritans, friends, family and supporters of the charity will take part in a seafront walk to remember long-standing volunteer Beryl Healy who died earlier this year following a tragic accident.
Mrs Healy, 79, was crushed by her car as she unloaded her shopping outside her home in Pococks Road on the Rodmill estate back in June. She was a Samaritan, former councillor and prolific Liberal Democrat campaigner.
The walk will take place on September 20 when the local branch will be celebrating 50 years of service to the community. It will start from the Fort Fun car park at 11.30am and continue along the promenade to the Western Lawns where everyone will sit down to enjoy a picnic. Everyone is invited.
