Members of the Rotary Club of Eastbourne Sovereign invited Majors Ivan and Liz Oliver from the Salvation Army to speak at their Christmas Dinner held at the Chatsworth Hotel.
After the talk, Club President Derek Morley presented Major Oliver with £500 worth of groceries to be added to the Army’s
Christmas Tin Appeal. The President said that the club were delighted to help at this special time of the year and reminded members that the Salvation Army demonstrated the Rotary ideal of ‘Service Above Self’. Other guests at the dinner were Dawn Purcell and her guide dog Wallace. Wallace was beautifully behaved and left with his own Christmas present - a pack of Dent a sticks. Photo by Hugh Wilton.
