The date has been set for one of the most eagerly anticipated events in Eastbourne’s business calendar.
Friday, November 4, will see the stage set at the five-star Grand Hotel for the prestigious Eastbourne Business Awards.
Leaders of businesses large and small will gather for a three-course lunch before celebrating the winners in 18 categories - culminating in the overall business of the year.
Categories will range from start-up and small business of the year, though to the large business, young achiever, top business personality, green business, and the highly popular lifetime achievement award.
Category sponsors already signed up include Brufords, Fusciardi’s and the Rotary Club of Eastbourne, with the CountyClean group generously stepping up as the headline event sponsor.
CountyClean’s Mike Walker said he was proud to be involved in an event that always steals the show as businesses from across the town celebrate their achievements in the run-up to Christmas.
“We are delighted to be headline sponsors of the awards, with their tradition of celebrating the finest individuals, teams and businesses our town has to offer,” said Mr Walker.
Event organiser Karen Beck said that even though the awards were more than three months’ away, the event was very much on the agenda of many businesses - either as potential sponsors or entrants.
“The Herald’s events programme is well established across the year but I have been amazed at the excitement that these business awards generate.
“The Grand Hotel is the perfect backdrop for a quality occasion - with some quality winners.
“The lunchtime start is always popular so that business people can take a well deserved afternoon off, and continue their celebrations into the evening.
“Don’t miss out on the fun.”
