Roll up for auditions for Bring It On The Musical

Eastbourne Stagers is on the lookout for new members to star in its new production of Bring It On.

Auditions to join the group are on Sunday March 20 at Willingdon School in Broad Road.

Bring It On The the musical is loosely based on the 2000 film of the same name and focuses on the competitive world of cheerleading and over-the-top team rivalries.

Eastbourne Stagers will put on the Dotty Briant production in September.

Fiona Dean is directing the show and said, “We hope to entice some more members and some males as we are very short of male members.

“As far as we know it’s the first time Bring It On has been in an East Sussex and UK theatre.

The auditions at Willingdon School are 10am-noon for all new and existing members to gain all information on the show and collect their contact details.

“Then from noon until 2pm there will be auditions for new members where they tell us about themselves and sing something from a musical – a verse and chorus usually – and we also invite them to show off their skills so perform a dance if they’re a dancer or a routine of gymnastics/cheerleading.

“We also teach them a routine to perform so they need to come dressed to dance. No experience is required. Members need to be aged eight and over with no upper age limit.”

The show is being co-directed and choreographed by Chloe Hurst with Rob Cussons as musical director.
