Several homes in Willingdon are without electricity this morning (March 29) after strong winds from Storm Katie damaged nearby power lines.

Houses in Portsdown Way and other properties in the BN20 9 postcode of Willingdon lost power at around 4.30pm on Monday (March 28).

UK Power Network engineers are investigating the damaged lines but it is unclear when the houses will be reconnected.

Homes in both Pevesney and Westham are also without electricity as a result of damage to the power network.

Engineers are investigating the outages after residents reported problems in the area at around 3.40am on Monday.
