Owners of cute canines and handsome hounds are being invited to enter the annual Demelza House charity dog show Pooches on the Prom.
Demelza Hospice Care for Children is looking for a dog to front its next Pooches on the Prom fundraiser.
The event will take place in Helen Gardens, Western Parade, Eastbourne, on Sunday September 13.
There will be a dog walk and a show with ten categories including best pedigree, best puppy, best veteran, waggiest tail and best trick.
Rosettes will be given out for first to third in each class.
Registration for the walk costs £5 per dog (owners go free) and includes a Demelza dotty bandana.
Participants can register in advance or on the day from 11am. Classes cost £2 each which is payable on the day.
Demelza community fundraiser Julie Brett is this week launching a contest to find a pet to feature on posters and flyers for Pooches, which is sponsored by Eastbourne Town Football Club.
The winning dog will also appear on the event Facebook page and be invited to start off the dog walk on the day.
The competition closes at midnight on August 11 and people who submit their dog’s photo are asked to pay their £5 registration fee for the dog walk.
Julie said, “We are really looking forward to this year’s Eastbourne Pooches event and can’t wait to see all the photos of residents’ dogs.
“It’s a great family day out and we hope to see as many people as possible joining us in Helen Gardens.”
