Crawley seems set to remain with the Tories, which Henry Smith took handsomely from Labour at the last election in 2010.

Outside Brighton and Hove, if the Exit Polls are proved correct, Sussex will be an entire sea of true blue.

What is yet unclear is the impact of the growth of UKIP - which is increasingly taking third position in many of the English results so far declared.

It should be stressed that no Sussex results have yet been declared and the Sussex suggestions are merely the results of Exit Polls at this stage.
