Police warning after indecent exposures in Seaford

Police in Seaford are warning women, especially young women, to be on their guard following two incidents of a male indecently exposing himself.

The first occurred at about 4.50pm Thursday, August 13 at the bus stop on the A259 opposite Chyngton Gardens.

The male is described as being white, between 20 and 30 years of age, 5’ 6”, of average build, clean shaven with a round face and short mousey coloured hair. He was wearing very baggy, grey-coloured jogging bottoms and a bright orange, long-sleeved top.

The most recent incident occurred at about 9pm on Sunday, September 27 close to the bus stop on the A259 opposite the Sutton Corner service station.

On this occasion, the male is described as being white, of medium build in his 20s and approximately 5’10”. He was wearing a grey coloured hoody and black jeans.

Sergeant Stuart Mullins said: “The woman, both in their twenties, were both unhurt but very upset by what happened. At this time the two matters are being linked and anyone with any information or suspicions as to the identity of the man is asked to contact us via 101@sussex.pnn.police.ukor call 101, quoting serials 1156 of 13/08 or 1389 of 27/09.

“If you do see any men acting suspiciously, especially around women who are on their own, don’t approach them but call police on 999.”
