Police have released CCTV footage of two potential witnesses who may have information about a sex attack in Seaside.

A woman, in her early 50s, was sexually assaulted on the pavement by the Archery Recreation Ground on Sunday (September 27).

She was walking home along Seaside between 4.15am and 4.30am when a man attacked her.

Detectives would like to hear from anyone who has information, and they particularly want to contact two young men who were seen walking past the victim along Seaside just before she was attacked.

Detective Sergeant Bonita Cowley said, “There is no suggestion that these two men were in any way involved in the attack, but they may have valuable information, perhaps even without realising it.

“Anyone who saw anyone or anything else unusual in this area in the early hours of Sunday is asked to contact us via 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or call 101, quoting Operation Carswell.

“This incident is not being linked to any other offence.”
