British Transport Police (BTP) officers are hoping members of the public can help identify this man who may have information about a bike theft in Seaford.

A black and white Trek 4300 bike worth an estimated £550 was secured by its owner to the metal fence at the side of Seaford station at 10.45am on Tuesday November 12. When the owner returned at 5pm later the same day, the bike had been stolen.

Investigating officers have released this CCTV image of a man they want to speak to in connection with the incident – along with images of other incidents across Sussex.

PC Billy Burstow, based at BTP’s Brighton office, said, “The officers investigating this case have followed a number of lines of enquiry and circulated this image on police intelligence systems to try and get a name for these person, but to no avail so far.

“Now we are asking members of the public to help identify him. If you can tell us who it is, then we want to hear from you.”
