Police seek hit-and-run driver who hit Eastbourne cyclist


Police want to speak to the driver of a car who knocked a teenage cyclist off his bike.

The 17-year-old cyclist injured his wrist in the smash, which took place at 10.30pm on Sunday (September 8) on Willingdon Drove.

He was making his way across the eastbound carriageway to reach the central refuge, when a vehicle travelling eastbound struck the bike and drove off.

The boy was taken to the Eastbourne District Hospital. Police are appealing for the driver to come forward and any witnesses to the incident.
