Police release further details about Eastbourne rape

Police have released more information about a report of rape in the Seaside area of Eastbourne on Sunday (September 27).

Officers are investigating a report of the rape of a local woman in her early fifties, in the area of the Archery Recreation Ground between 4am and 4.30am.

Anyone who saw anyone or anything unusual in this area is asked to contact police via 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or call 101, quoting Operation Carswell.

At this time this incident is not being linked to any other offence.

No arrest has been made.
