Police '˜legend' out on final beat

An Eastbourne '˜legend' is out and about in the town for the very last time today.

Veteran police constable Trevor Perks is retiring after 30 years in the force, Sussex Police announced in a tribute to him this morning.

Pc Perks joined Sussex Police in 1987 and has become a ‘legend’ in the town, a police spokesperson said.

Sussex Police encouraged members of the public on Twitter to grab a selfie with him if they see him.
