Police investigate racially motivated assault in Hailsham

Police are investigating reports of a racially motivated assault at a house in Hailsham yesterday afternoon (Monday, May 9).

Officers were called to Hollamby Park at around 1.46pm where there were reports of a fight involving a number of men and women. An ambulance was called and two people were treated at the scene.

Police say the incident is being treated as a racially motivated assault. House-to-house enquiries are being conducted in the area.

Any witnesses or anyone with information is asked to email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or call 101 quoting serial 769 of 09/05. Alternatively, witnesses can call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
