Police appeal after two women are assaulted in Hailsham

Police are appealing for witnesses after two women were assaulted in Hailsham on Saturday (April 2).

The victims, a 22-year-old and 19-year-old woman who are both local, were attacked by two other women at around 4.15pm on Western Road. They were left with cuts and bruises.

One of the suspects is described as white, aged between 30-35, around 5’6” and of large build. The other is described as white, aged between 30-38, around 5’6”, of large build and with short auburn hair.

PC Carly Owen said: “This assault happened during the day along a fairly busy road.

“We would like to hear from anyone who may have seen what happened.”
