LARGE portraits hanging from the ceiling in Eastbourne Railway Station are part of a project about members of the town's Polish community.
The 20 photographs of Polish people are part of Eastbourne Festival and the project is called Polska by the Sea.
Award-winning photographer Lisa Barnard has snapped the individuals and Mark Hewitt, artistic director of Lewes Live Literature, has been talking to Eastbourne Poles and compiling their stories.
Parts of Mark's interviews are available on a series of free postcards available in the station.
Miriam Miklaszewska from Polskie Eastbourne, which was involved in the project, said, "Seeing this installation has made me feel sentimental, funnily enough not about Poland, but about what a great place Eastbourne is to be.
"That is thanks to all the people of Eastbourne who have made me feel so welcome and happy here."
The project will be on display in the station until April 26.
