A man found in possession of more than 30 wraps of crack cocaine in Eastbourne has been jailed for four-and-a-half years.
Police say in April Lee John Cornelius, 40, unemployed, of Park Croft, Polegate, was arrested at an address in Stansted Road, Eastbourne.
He was charged and later convicted of intending to supply the Class A drug.
Then at Lewes Crown Court on Friday (December 7) he was sentenced to 54 months’ imprisonment, ordered to pay a £170 victim surcharge and told he must forfeit £200 cash.
An order was made for destruction of the seized drugs.
PC Dan Cloake, of Eastbourne police, welcomed the outcome and said, “Thanks to good work by officers another drug dealer has been taken off the streets.”
