PICTURE GALLERY: Teenager’s rap star stunt proves a hit on social media

A performing arts student hoping to launch a career as a dancer has been dressing up as rap stars.

Annie Singer, who is currently doing a BTEC in Dance and Performing Arts at Sussex Downs College, realised donning a bandana and dressing up as the late American rapper Tupac Shakur made her friends and family laugh. As a result, she went on to recreate the looks and poses of half a dozen other rappers and pop stars.

The 17-year-old told the Herald, “I found a bandana in my room and remembered that Tupac wore one, so I just thought it would be funny to make myself look like him.

“I sent it to a few people and they found it funny and wanted me to do more.

“I like that I was making people laugh by being silly.”

Annie, who has attended the Theatre Workshop for ten years, played a leading role in Will Young’s latest music video Brave Man which was filmed back in October.

Annie hopes to go to dance college after completing her BTEC.
