Meads Magic also welcomed the horse drawn dray from Harvey’s Brewery with Monty and Winston the Shire horses making their grand arrival in the High Street with Father Christmas.

There was also live entertainment from local school choirs, a children’s magic show, the elves’ pottery workshop and gingerbread decorating.

This year members of the Royal Hippodrome Theatre Company’s Christmas Variety Show were singing in the street to set the festive scene along with popular musical combo, The Dirty Martini Swing Band.

Eastbourne Mencap is this year’s chosen charity.
