PICTURE GALLERY: Behind the scenes at Congress Theatre refurbishment
As news was revealed last week that the cost of refurbishing Eastbourne's theatres and tennis facilities has rocketed by almost £10 million, council officials invited reporter Annemarie Field to go behind the scenes to see the work going on.
The project, which includes the refurbishment of the Congress Theatre, Winter Garden, Devonshire Park and the creation of new tennis players’ facilities, was to cost £44 million but has now risen to £53 million.
