Pevensey Bay bricklayer found dead at home

Jonathan Winterton took his own life on February 29, an inquest heard.

An inquest at Eastbourne Town Hall on Thursday (March 11), heard Mr Winterton, a bricklayer, was found at his flat in Saxon Court on Eastbourne Road.

Toxicology found Mr Winterton had drugs and a high level of alcohol in his system, the inquest heard.

Sussex Police attended the flat in the early hours of February 29 to find Mr Winterton’s body.

East Sussex coroner Alan Craze ruled that Mr Winterton took his own life.
