Volunteers needed for Age UK summer fair in Eastbourne

Volunteers are required to help at a free summer fair on the Western Lawns to raise money and awareness Age UK.

The event will take place on July 5 from 11am to 6pm.

Thousands will flock to the seafront for the fair which will include a fun fair, dog show, live music, food and craft market and entertainment.

The fair will also raise awareness of the services Age UK provide locally and help fund its work in combatting the loneliness and isolation felt by many local older people.

Lizzy Chapman from the charity said, “Our summer fair is only possible thanks to our amazing volunteers, and with your help we can make this year’s event a great success.

“If you’re looking to gain new skills, make friends, have fun and make a difference to local older people then joining our volunteer team could be just the role for you.

“Whatever you skills, we have roles to suit everyone.

“Previous experience is not necessary and all your travel costs will be paid for.”

Helpers can volunteer for the whole day or just part of it.
