Craig Steadman has been described as the ‘best brother, son, partner, dad, and friend’ who will be sorely missed by many.

He died on Friday (March 6) after being diagnosed with terminal bowel cancer earlier this year.

The 37-year-old’s sister Samantha said, “The impact he made on so many people for his kindness, generosity and humour is so lovely to see and makes us even more proud of the man he was and will be remembered as.

“As a family we miss him so much already – he’s left such a void but we insist on making sure his memory lives on in us all and especially for his son Reagan.

“He was amazing. The best brother, son, partner, dad, and friend. He will be sorely missed.”

A fundraiser set up to help Craig make memories with his family in the time he had left raised more than £7,000.

And a pub event in February at the Prince Albert also raised a significant amount.

Craig leaves behind a partner, Dawn, young son Reagan, and many loved ones.

He was initially diagnosed with bowel cancer in 2015 but was told the following year it was in remission.

Tragically, the cancer returned and he was told it could not be cured.

The dad documented his experience with the disease on a Facebook page called Craig’s Cancer Journey.

Family shared the sad news on the page on Saturday (March 7), saying they were ‘heartbroken’.

The post said, “Our lovely Craig sadly lost his battle to cancer yesterday.

“Thank you to each and every one of you that has shown us all support! He’ll be sorely missed.”

A further comment said, “We’re heartbroken. Hard to believe we will never see him again. Thanks for the lovely comments and messages and for following his journey, love Dawn, Craig’s partner.”
