This £1million East Sussex property could be yours for £2 raffle ticket

Coles Hall, a 16th century tudor hall near Mayfield, is set in five acres of land and has been renovated throughout.

The historic property is now up for grabs in a ‘Win a Country Home’ competition, run by Mike Chatha, who raffles outstanding homes full time at Winacountryhome.com and Winyourdream.com.

Mike said: “How often do you get to win a £1m home for £2? Especially a magnificent 16th century tudor hall like this!

“Tickets are selling well, but we would like to sell as many as possible in order to maximise our charitable donation.”

Mike’s competition previously featured on TV and was won by 23-year-old Jemma Nicklin, a part-time admin worker who had just opened an ISA to start saving for a property.

He also offered his own £500,000 Shropshire home as a prize earlier in the year on Valentine’s Day.

Josephine Lisle, owner of Coles Hall, said she saw the ‘Win a Country Home’ competition and thought it was a great idea.

“It’s been a superb home that we have renovated extensively, and now it’s someone else’s turn to enjoy it as much as we have,” she said.

A proportion of the proceeds from the competition go to charity, Ronald McDonald House Charities UK, which recently partnered with the competition.

RMHC provides accommodation for families of sick children when they are in hospital a long way from home.

Vanessa Simmons, national community fundraising manager for RMH, said: “We have 12 houses across the UK and each year, we offer over 6,000 families a free place to sleep, eat and rest, away from the intensity of the wards. Keeping families close makes a big difference to everyone – it means parents can see their children whenever they want, rather than travelling to and from hospital daily.”

“This opportunity to be the charity partner of Win your Dream Competitions to win a country home will help us to keep on supporting families with seriously ill children in hospital when they need us most. We will receive a minimum of £10,000 from this house raffle, which will provide 400 nights of accommodation to families.”

The competition closes on July 20. The winner will be drawn in a live streaming on July 24.

If £1m of ticket sales are not reached, then 80 per cent of the ticket sales will be offered as a cash prize.
