“It can be as sedate or raucous as you want,” explains Elise.

“We can provide packages that include macrame, yoga or cocktail workshops. We can set up burlesque sessions or you can just chill with food and drink.

“We can also provide a pamper tent for people to have treatments. There are loads of options out there.”

The tents sleep up to five people with group sizes consisting of a minimum of ten and a maximum of 25.

The breaks are £150 per person for two nights in one of the five metre bell tents with raised guest beds and bedding included.

A boho communal chill out tent, a box of games, breakfast both mornings, gourmet marshmallows and a welcome glass of bubbles are included as standard.

The venue offers an onsite kitchen area complete with crockery, cutlery and fridge, a BBQ, a huge communal fire pit seating area, and shower and toilet facilities.

“The idea came as we found brides would book us for their weddings as they liked staying the night before but members of their families weren’t so keen, so this option gives brides the best of both worlds as they can stay in a bell tent with their friends and enjoy the experience,” explains Elise.

“I wanted the shoot to feel very natural and awesome rather than staged,” she reveals.

“And a special thanks to all the amazing ladies that I am proud to call my friends and were game enough to get involved.”

The bell tents can also be hired out for weddings, parties, festivals, retreats and corporate events across Sussex, Kent and Surrey.

Beneath the Canopy was started as a business in 2017.

“My husband and I are both musicians and always saw the bell tents at festivals and just loved them,” explains Elise.

“I loved how you could create a pop up of villages with a number of tents.

“The business really grew organically, we didn’t set out to do weddings we wanted to do glamping and then it grew from there.”

The Willingdon-based business now has 25 tents available for hire, with busy months from May until September.

“We don’t tend to do more than two weddings on a weekend as I like to get the know the couple and we create a page for them to be able to access information on their big day,” she says.

“It is a personal service and I love getting to know them.”
