New street lighting on Eastbourne seafront
New street lighting has appeared on a stretch of Eastbourne seafront.
The lights are on top of the beacons in Duke’s Drive.
A spokesperson at East Sussex County Council said, “A new LED lantern has been added to the Belisha beacon to better illuminate the crossing in Duke’s Drive, and make the pedestrian crossing as safe as possible. The design avoids the need to add additional lamp posts to the pavement.”
