The events will be free of charge for children in receipt of free school meals. This comes after the Art House Cafe in Grove Road, Eastbourne, received funding for the scheme. The sessions are open to seven to 16-year-olds and will take place weekly.

Each course will provide a range of creative activities including pottery, clay, T-shirt and bag painting, bath bombs making, chocolate making, slime making and foam clay. There will also be daily art classes and along with a physical activity in the form of dance or yoga each day.

The first week, the sessions will run from April 5 to 8 from 9am to 1pm for children aged seven to 11. And course two, for the older children, will run from April 5 to 8 between 1.15pm to 5.15pm.

During the second week of the Easter break, the courses will run on April 12-15 at the times.

The team at the Art House is very much hoping the session will be fully booked and is urging parents to make contact to book their child a place. Each course will provide a healthy cooking lesson which will involve preparing their own hot lunch daily for morning courses.
