For a small donation at 10.30am on February 27, guests will be welcomed into Churchill Retirement Living, on Southfields Road, where they will be treated to a slice of cake and a warm cup of tea or coffee.

Anne Scherrer, the regional marketing manager for Churchill Retirement Living said, “We’re looking forward to welcoming people to our Warming Morning event to raise funds for such a great charity.

“Every penny counts, which is why we’re asking as many people as possible to come along and support the event and make a donation in return for the refreshments on offer.

“It’s the perfect excuse to enjoy a bit of indulgence, as well as an opportunity for visitors to experience the lifestyle on offer at the Lodge.”

Eastbourne’s Winter Night Shelter is run by a variety of churches throughout Eastbourne and operates a warm, safe and friendly environment for guests.

Doors open at 7pm, when they arrive and depart at 8am, when the guests depart.

Alongside a warm bed, the guests also have the chance to enjoy a hot meal and participate in a variety of activities with their housemates.
