Eastbourne film donating 25 per cent of DVD earnings to the NHS

An Eastbourne film is donating 25 per cent of its DVD proceeds to the NHS to help with the coronavirus crisis.

The creators of Adventure Boyz, which was filmed in Eastbourne, Hailsham, and beyond, have set up a deal with Ebay so that one quarter of the money from every sale goes to NHS Charities.

Director Howard J Ford said, “We are super proud at team Adventure Boyz that for every DVD purchased in the UK and Ireland with our heartwarming family film, we are donating 25 per cent directly to the NHS.

“I am very proud to not only get this heartwarming family film out across the UK, following it’s highly successful US release, but also to support our amazing real life heroes!”

Adventure Boyz tells the story of a speedway rider dad and his two sons who get caught up with a gang of diamond thieves, but there is a message running through the film to ‘get off your devices and get out there’.

Filming locations incllude St Andrew’s Prep, Arlington Speedway, Hertsmonceux Castle, Bucklers Café, St Mary’s Walk, Wannock Village Hall, Sharnfold Farm, Love All Café, Friston pond and church, Brighton old police cells, and the South Downs.
