Police are appealing for witness to a man who was bitten by a dog in Eastbourne on Wednesday (October 7).
The victim, a man in his 70s, was walking his dog in Shinewater Lane at around 2.45pm.
His dog was off the lead and began fighting with another dog. The victim tried to separate the dogs and was bitten on his hand.
The owner of the pet, a woman in her mid 20s, apologised but left without leaving her details.
PC Tom Thorpe said, “This was a nasty attack that left the victim, and his dog, both with nasty cuts.
“The woman is described as white, slim and wearing a jacket and fitted trousers. Her dog was described as a white staffie type dog with brown patches.
“We are keen to trace this woman and her dog as we need to speak to them about what happened.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact on firstname.lastname@example.org quoting serial 817 of 07/10.”
