Park bench set alight in Eastbourne


A bench was set ablaze deliberately, in an Eastbourne park last night (July 6).

East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service was called to reports of a fire in the open at Roselands Park in Eastbourne.

A fire engine attended the park at 11.39pm, and on arrival crews found a bench on fire.

Firefighters used one hose reel jet to extinguish the flames.

The cause of the fire was found to be deliberate.
