Parcel scam warning

TRADING Standards are warning residents to be on the lookout for a telephone scam which is doing the rounds in Eastbourne.

Homes are being targetted by conmen who post cards through their letterbox from a company called PDS (Parcel Delivery Service) suggesting that a postman was unable to deliver a parcel.

The card also says that the home owner should call them on 0906 6611911 to arrange collection of the parcel.

However, it is part of a mail scam originating from Belize.

Anyone who calls the number will have already have been billed £315 the second they hear the recorded message.

If you do receive a card with these details contact Royal Mail Fraud on 020 7239 6655.
