Oscar, 11, hosts his own Disney show

A TALENTED Seaford youngster has been appearing on TV screens across Sussex after being cast to star in a Disney Channel show.

Oscar Lloyd was chosen by Disney Channel UK to feature in Oscar and Michael's Phineas and Ferb Fan Club Show, which premiered on Monday.

The 11-year-old will feature alongside Michael Selwood in the self-titled UK produced series, which pays homage to the channel's popular animated comedy series Phineas and Ferb.

Oscar and Michael's Phineas and Ferb Fan Club Show is based on the boys' real-life love for all things Phineas and Ferb. Just like their animated heroes, the pair set out to solve the mundane everyday problems that most kids face, in a larger than life way.

Each episode brings a new adventure for the boredom fighters, whose aim is to inspire kids to think creatively about their own lives. With their trademark slogan 'you can do anything when you think big', there is never a dull moment when Oscar, Michael and Max are around.

Oscar said, "I'm thrilled to be part of Oscar and Michael's Phineas and Ferb Fan Club Show. It's been a lot of fun coming up with ideas for stuff for kids to do."

Jonathan Boseley at Disney Channels UK added, "We really wanted to bring to life the fun-filled adventures of the show's two lead characters using real kids. Through Oscar, Michael and Max's love for the show, we're encouraging kids across the UK to tap into their imagination to 'think big' and to have fun."

Phineas and Ferb, which launched on February 1, was the most successful animation launch for Disney Channel ever in the UK during its premiere weekend.

Oscar and Michael's Phineas and Ferb Fan Club Show was launched on Monday at 10am on Disney Channel, and will appear on the channel at the same time every Monday.
