I just wanted to pass on my thanks and eternal gratitude for all the kind folk who stopped and helped me when I tripped over my own feet in Brodrick Road on Monday evening.

This includes the very kind gentlemen who put a coat and blanket over me to keep me warm as it was a very
cold night and the pavement was even colder and the phone calls people made to get an ambulance out for me and phone my family and partner to let them know what happened.

The X-ray at the hospital revealed that I had two very dislocated bones in my right elbow and quite bad ligament damage and now have a
very attractive cast to wear from my shoulder to my right wrist with further surgery to look forward to.

I would also like to thank all the staff at the Eastbourne DGH and A&E (even the doctors) who tried to get the bones relocated.

I would also like to praise the Conquest Hospital in Hastings for accepting my transfer from the DGH and successfully popping the bones back in place under general anaesthetic.

Not the way I wanted to spend my first anniversary but would have been a whole lot worse if I didn’t have compassionate people around me who took such good care of me (including my son and daughter and my lovely son- in-law who offered to prepare meals for me) as my partner could not be with me.

You are all angels and thank you all very much once again.
