On the morning of December 9 I was in the Beacon shopping centre in Eastbourne and was very unfortunate to have been knocked over by a man who did not even stop.

I fell to the ground and suffered a broken shoulder and severe bruising.

Needless to say I was obviously in a shocked state but was fortunate to have been helped and comforted by two very kind security men who were working in the centre at the time.

They kindly helped me to a seat and stayed with me until an ambulance had been summoned.

Although I believe that they mentioned their names to me, I cannot now recall what the names were.

What I do remember however is that one came from Macclesfield in Cheshire and the other from Nottingham.

Also at the scene was a kind lady who was apparently an off duty nurse from the Eastbourne General Hospital and she also very kindly stopped and helped me in my time of need.

Obviously I do not know if these kind people will see this message but if anyone might know who they are I would like to give a big thank you to them.

In the distressing and extremely painful episode I found myself in, it is nice to know that there are still some kind and considerate people around.
