Time for a street name change in Eastbourne?

Like me, I’m sure many Eastbourne residents still think of Victoria Place being the stretch of road from the seafront to the traffic lights.

As a teenager I used to meet up with friends when we would congregate in one or other of the coffee shops such as Notarianni’s or Fortes – as did lots of other groups.

Then Seaside Road ended and Trinity Trees and Terminus Road began at Co-op Corner and Barkers.

By all means make Victoria Place into a pedestrian area but surely as identification, all that’s needed will be a street sign stating Victoria Place!
