Thanks to those Eastbourne people who helped me after accident

May I through your newspaper say a sincere “thank you” to all those Good Samaritans who came to my assistance when I overturned my mobility scooter outside St Mary,House on August 18.

In particular I would like to mention the nurses who came out of St,Mary’s House and a male nurse who I believe is called Steve who knelt on solid concrete for the best part of an hour keeping my head rigid.

They did lots of tests while waiting for an ambulance to arrive and decided that I was fit enough to go home. Three passersby stowed my scooter safely away in St Mary’s House and someone kindly produced an umbrella to shelter me when it started to rain. I am black and blue and aching all over but it could have a lot worse had it not been for the people whose names I could not get.
