Hello my name is Terry and I’ve been in the winter night shelter since mid December.

I’m 39 years old and I’m a recovering alcoholic.

I also attended Rebourne Corner Salvation Army Eastbourne. I was deeply lost and dying living on the streets of Eastbourne prior to being in the winter night shelter. I was in very bad health.

This past few months has been life changing for me, mostly because the winter night shelter has gave me a rock to build upon, along with my faith of course.

Now I’ve been blessed with a room in a shared house in Eastbourne. I’m sober and I help out where I can at Rebourne Corner day centre.

I want to just take time to say a massive thank you to all the volunteers who have shown me compassion, empathy, love and to Rebourne Corner for a massive amount of support on going support!

My hope is that the kindness shown to me, I can continue to give back daily by helping out where I can.

Once again, thank you for helping me find myself again.
