Most days there is an overwhelming number of cyclists on the pavements as you know.

For this there is a £500 fine of which the police seem to have no interest in cashing in on.

Now we just came back during ‘school’s out’ and the amount of bikes on the pavements tripled: weaving in and out of mothers, pushchairs , toddlers and grandparents doing the school run.

The cyclists range from ages nine to ten to adults.

The council intend for a cycle path on the seafront.

The speeds some of the cyclists go at are absolutely absurd and if nothing is done, the growing number of electric scooters on pavements and roads can be thrown into the mix, then sooner or later some one is going to get seriously injured or killed.

My money is on sooner.

Please can the police and council to act before it’s too late.
