My thanks to ambulance crew - and all my helpers

I write to publicly express my extreme gratitude to whoever called for an ambulance, when out running on Sunday April 26 I suffered a horrible fall as I left the Cuckoo Trail near Hailsham’s Common Pond.

I have no recollection of the fall itself or who so kindly attended me, but broke my nose with assortment of other mainly facial and hand injuries.

Also I have nothing but praise for the ambulance crews and all those at the DGH who gave every attention to patch me up and drive me home, despite the pressure of the crisis.

I’ve been a competitive runner for 42 years and will thankfully be back in a few days but really must learn to pick my feet up!
