Evidence of rip-off rail fares?

I have only recently begun travelling to London at weekends once more.

I go online to book a super off peak fare. It’s there, but only if you also purchase a travelcard. There are no options to only have the fare without a travelcard for London transport.

I don’t need it. Walking just a few minutes to my destination, other passengers will be in a similar situation or they will have bus passes they can use within London.

Southern’s reply to my initial complaint was that they didn’t know anything about it...and try to complain elsewhere. They’re either idiots or creaming the public for losses made during the pandemic.
